Quick tutor recognition
Profile photo, name, university, pronouns, lead tutor status, and completion state give supervisors a quick snapshot of who the tutor is.
Unreliable tutor profile data resulted from an outdated profile system and limited tutor control over updating their own information. The existing tutor profile page was outdated and did not reflect how PLUS operates across multiple universities. Tutors could not easily update their information, causing profile data to become incomplete or outdated. This limited how internal teams and tools could reliably use tutor data for operations, research, and coordination.

Ownership model I landed on

System-managed

AI-assisted exploration
Final structure

To rapidly explore new admin layout patterns, I used AI-assisted tools like Google Stitch and Figma Make to generate and iterate on multiple modal structures and information hierarchies.

Layouts Explored
Another round of feedback from tutor supervisors, PMs, and developers helped refine how tutor identity, communication, and operational context should appear across the admin workflow.
I finalized the workflow by refining the layout, hierarchy, and component organization based on feedback from supervisors, PMs, and developers. The final design consolidated tutor identity, communication, sessions, and profile context into a clearer and more scalable experience that made tutor information easier to navigate and manage.

Since the redesign is currently in development, we defined success metrics to evaluate the experience.

tutors impacted
Supervisor knowledge of Tutors
Tutor and Supervisor satisfaction
Tutor profile completion rate

Working in a large design system.
Balancing multiple stakeholders perspectives.
AI accelerated exploration.
I designed with future growth in mind and identified opportunities for how the experience could evolve over time.
