Problem

`Unreliable tutor profile data` resulted from an `outdated` profile system and limited tutor `control` over updating their own information.

The existing tutor profile page was outdated and did not reflect how PLUS operates across multiple universities. Tutors could not easily update their information, causing profile data to become incomplete or outdated. This limited how internal teams and tools could reliably use tutor data for operations, research, and coordination.

The redesign structures tutor information into clear sections and distinguishes editable fields from system-managed data, making profiles easier to maintain while supporting reliable operational data.

This feature is currently in development and scheduled to ship soon. The redesign involved close collaboration with engineers and tutor supervisor stakeholders to define the data model, refine the profile experience, and support reliable operational data.
